Our mission

The Oregon Community Asylum Network assists and advocates for people seeking safe haven in the United States through grassroots organizing, education, and sponsorship.

Our goal is a safe and secure landing where asylum seekers can begin growing roots.

Get involved

There are tasks for every schedule, and many don’t require Spanish.

Ways to volunteer

  • Accompany or drive asylees to ICE appointments in Eugene and Portland. We provide an accompaniment workshop first.
  • Pick up food boxes, groceries, and prescriptions, or drive people to collect them.
  • Provide rides for medical, legal and other appointments.
  • Bring a potluck dish to the twice-monthly support group.
  • Share your skills & talents, e.g. household repairs, help a family move, become a school liaison.

Sign up to volunteer

Tell us how you’d like to help and we’ll be in touch. Spanish speakers are especially welcome.
